Esther Ross - Master of Fine Art

Esther is primarily a portrait painter, working in both oils and acrylics, who represents marginalised communities by bringing focussed and empathetic representation. Her artworks are a celebration of the broken yet complete stories of multi-faceted individuals. She has represented non-binary individuals, dementia sufferers, cancer patients, and beloved friends and family of no-fixed abode or in the sex work industry. Through her art she seeks to create a Third Space where typical notions of gender, stereotypes and prejudices are broken down – imagining a world where everyone is equal.
